The Rochdale Pioneers is a TV feature film commissioned by The Co-operative Group and produced by the British Youth Film Academy (BYFA). First broadcast on Film4 in November 2012, the film features seasoned actor John Henshaw. The film was produced and co-directed by Inglenook's John Montegrande. His co-director was Adam Lee Hamilton.

SYNOPSIS

“Those who said no to us, can’t have their way forever...”

 

1844: A group of working-class people from the town of Rochdale come together to change the unfair society they are living in.
